Following the spread of the deadly NT Virus, which plunged humanity into chaos, the world's nations, in their desperation to contain the infection, unleashed nuclear war. This devastating conflict brought the planet to the brink of extinction. Yet, not all perished. Survivors formed organized factions, determined to restore order, reclaim control of the world, and confront the threat posed by the Mutants and Infected now roaming the planet.

The Human Context

The apocalypse not only wiped out cities and claimed most of the population but also fragmented humanity. Former governments collapsed, and the surviving military and civilian leaders were forced to reorganize. What remained of society became a mosaic of organized communities, each with its own ideology and approach, yet united by a common goal: to survive and rebuild.

Humans have had to adapt quickly to a hostile environment. While the world is fraught with dangers—radiation, infection, and inhospitable territories—their ability to work together and leverage ancient technology has allowed this faction to survive and, in some cases, thrive. Humans value knowledge, strategic planning, and adaptability, which is reflected in their playstyle.

The Philosophy of Humans: Reconstruction and Control

Unlike the other factions, Humans do not seek to adapt to chaos or destroy everything that remains. Their goal is to rebuild what once was, leveraging the remnants of advanced technology still present on the planet. This internal division also introduces different strategic approaches within the game, such as choosing aggressive, defensive, or diplomatic strategies depending on the human faction you choose to represent. Although this differentiation is not currently implemented in the game, it is already part of plans for future expansions. These new dynamics will offer players greater strategic depth, allowing them to explore different visions of how Humans could rebuild or dominate the post-apocalyptic world.
